Even after the passage of Proposition 8, same sex couples still want to declare their love for one another just as heterosexual couples do.
The same-sex union is not recognized as a true “marriage” in California, but that does not stop two people who are in love from wanting to stand before their friends, family, and loved ones, and express that they intend to spend their lives together. We have had many same-sex marriages since long before proposition 8 was on the ballot, and we will continue to coordinate incredible events that represent lives coming together regardless of future decisions.
